Skincare before and after workout looks a bit different than the daily beauty routine. We need to adapt it to the exercises, the outfit, and whether the cosmetics we use have to perform a specific task when we run, swim, do the plank or use kettlebell. Check how to take care of your skin before and after training.
Skin care before training
FACE
Before each workout, you should thoroughly cleanse your face, get rid of makeup, sebum and other impurities. If you have acne skin, apply anti-bacterial cosmetics before you start exercising. These can be products with salicylic acid or tea oil. And how to take care of sensitive or dry skin? Use mild products with moisturizing properties and a light formula. If you plan to exercise outdoors, remember to apply a cream with a UV filter, regardless of the season.
BODY
If you want to reduce sweating, take a shower and depilate the body before exercising: remember to use a deodorant. This way you will prevent bacterial growth and irritation. Choose laser hair removal and remove unwanted hair once and for all. Before training, it is not advisable to use oils and thick balms that hinder the excretion of sweat from the skin.
Skin care after training
FACE
After the workout, cleanse your face again with a foam or a gel with a delicate formula; the cosmetic should not leave a greasy coating that would impede the proper functioning of the skin. When your skin is clean and refreshed, apply a moisturizing or soothing cream. It is important that all these activities be done right after the exercises, not when you get home.
BODY
The most important stage in body care after the workout is a shower and applying a moisturizing lotion. Warm skin after training and shower absorbs nutritional ingredients contained in cosmetics much easier.
